Storm patterns are not the same across the metroplex. What we find most in each area is different, and that changes what we inspect first.
Tight lots and mature trees. Debris collects in valleys and holds water, and overhanging limbs scrub granule off the field. Older neighborhoods have complex roof lines with many penetrations, which is where flashing detail matters most.
Everything from historic bungalows to new build. On older Fort Worth and Arlington homes we spend most of the inspection on chimney flashing, valley metal, and attic ventilation, which is where these roofs typically give out first.
Steeper pitches, larger surface areas, and newer roofs now reaching the age where builder grade material starts to show it. Plano, Frisco, McKinney, and Denton sit in an active hail corridor, so documentation quality drives claim outcomes here.
Acreage properties, metal buildings, and long panel runs west and south of the metroplex. Commercial projects take us into the Austin, Houston, and San Antonio markets on a scheduled basis.

Not within the DFW metroplex. For projects well outside the metroplex, particularly commercial work in other Texas markets, any mobilization cost is stated on the estimate up front rather than added later.
We triage in a set order: active leaks get tarped first, same day, existing customer or not. Structural and safety issues come next. Claim inspections are then booked in the order they came in, and you get a call with a real date rather than a promise to call back.
Call and ask. We would rather tell you honestly that we cannot reach you than book an inspection we cannot keep. If we cannot get to you, we will point you toward a local contractor we would send our own family to.

Considerably. Hail corridors tend to run through certain corridors more often than others, wind uplift is worse on exposed sites north and west, and older housing stock has different failure points than new build. What we inspect first genuinely changes by city.
